Accessibility statement
Every page on letsauth.eu should work for everyone: with a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom, either colour scheme, reduced motion and no JavaScript.
The target
The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a rule in the project's constitution, not an aspiration: a change that breaks it does not merge.
How it is checked
- Every pull request runs automated accessibility checks (axe) on the main pages, in light and dark and at phone width, and fails on any serious violation.
- Lighthouse must score at least 95 for accessibility on the atlas pages.
- Pages are pre-rendered HTML that read fully without JavaScript; interactive parts add to that, they do not replace it.
- Status in the atlas is never shown by colour alone: each status has its own shape and text.
- Animations are switched off when your system asks for reduced motion.
Known limits
- The atlas matrix is a wide data table. On a small screen it scrolls sideways inside its frame; each server and each requirement also has its own page that reads as plain text.
- The standards map draws a graph. The same specifications and relations are listed as text on each specification's page.
- Automated checks find only part of the barriers. Manual testing with assistive technology is not yet systematic.
Report a barrier
If something does not work for you, tell us what page, what you tried and what happened. Write to letsauth@janbrennenstuhl.eu or open an issue in the repository. Barriers are treated as bugs.
